The Inlet Historical Society received its first grant, $750, from the Glenn and Carol Pearsall Adirondack Foundation. The Pearsall Foundation, notable for its support to the missions of nonprofits throughout the Adirondack region, is dedicated to “improving the quality of life for year-round residents of the Adirondack Park.” The Foundation will include the Society with other grant recipients in an upcoming press release covering its recent awards.
The Society requested a grant from the Foundation in August to cover the costs of essential computer hardware and software that would enable the recording of artifacts, the capturing of images from photographs and postcards, the accounting for operations and the recording of membership data. The Society intends to proceed with these purchases.
The Society thanks the Foundation for its recognition through this award and welcomes funding from all interested persons, groups and jurisdictions. The Society will continue to apply for similar grants in the future.
